The DLCC desperately needs to replace the roof over both the clubhouse and arena.
We have a lofty goal to get both roofs replaced, but are only $100,000 away from achieving it!
Update from the President
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to send you all a VERY exciting update. Through Past President Corey Thompson’s tireless work with the insurance team we have been given the news that we have been approved for a brand-new ice plant fully paid through our insurance claim. The total value of the claim will be over $600,000. The new system is state of the art and will allow our icemaking team to have more control than ever on our ice surface. It is truly a MASSIVE deal and we are all really excited. The roof above the lounge has also been finished, which is less visible but also extremely important and was done with the support of our great membership. I want to also make sure to take a second to thank our icemaking team Brandon and Sean. Not only did they rush to get our season back on track, but they have done numerous other jobs to keep our building up and running. Big thanks to them. As always there are still things to improve upon at the club, but we wanted to make sure to share this big win with our curlers! See you on the ice.
On behalf of the Board:
Scott Peterson

New Rooftop HVAC Units Installed!
At the end of May, BERG came to begin the installation process of the 2 new rooftop units and removal of the old ones. This project was completed in full at the end of June and these new units will heat and cool the entire upstairs lounge area and addition. These new units were made possible through funding received from both the Province of MB and the City of Winnipeg.
